La violinista galardonada Katherine Moller es una de las músicos más versátiles de Nuevo Brunswick. Su música reúne las tierras altas de Escocia, los exuberantes verdes de Irlanda y la majestuosidad del valle del río Saint John. Ya sea que esté tocando melodías tradicionales de violín en un pub lleno de gente o la música de Bach en un escenario de concierto, su amor y respeto por el instrumento y su atractivo generalizado le han valido considerable reconocimiento como una de las verdaderas embajadoras del violín de la provincia. El viaje musical de Katherine comenzó con lecciones de violín clásico y tocando en varias orquestas comunitarias. Gracias a la influencia de su padre, se enamoró de la música de violín y pasó muchos veranos en Cape Breton aprendiendo a hacer que su violín fuera más auténtico. Katherine estudió música en la Universidad McGill, donde conoció la música barroca. Al descubrir que su padre tenía un violín barroco en su colección de violines, Katherine lo restauró y siguió tocando música de los siglos XVI y XVII. Después de la universidad, Katherine recibió una beca del Consejo de las Artes de Canadá para estudiar violín en Irlanda. Katherine es miembro de Symphony NB, toca música barroca en varios conjuntos con el Early Music Studio de Saint John y tiene una carrera activa en la música celta habiendo lanzado 6 álbumes en solitario y un álbum con su cuarteto Different Folk.
