Kyshona presta su voz y música a quienes se sienten silenciados, olvidados o solos. Comenzó su carrera como musicoterapeuta, escribiendo sus primeras canciones con pacientes (estudiantes y reclusos bajo su cuidado). Se vio obligada a escribir de forma independiente y encontrar su propia voz, un esfuerzo que la llevó a la comunidad creativa y la cultura de composición de Nashville. Desde entonces, equilibra su carrera musical con su pasión por sanar en comunidad a través de su organización Your Song.
