Cuenta la historia de Hayes Dirkie un niño de 8 años de edad, y los esfuerzos para sobrevivir en el desierto después de un accidente de avión, mientras que su padre Anton monta cada vez más desesperados esfuerzos por encontrarlo. (Basado en una historia real).

La historia de un niño pequeño en la lucha por la supervivencia y un padre desesperado esfuerzo para salvar a su hijo. Filmado en la más peligrosa de la desindustrialización, el desierto de Kalahari, la película es la creación de Director Jamie Uys y es una historia de suspenso, los conflictos y el valor humano increíble. Dirkie un niño de 8 años de edad y su perro se dejan hacer frente a este vasto baldío después de solo un accidente aéreo mientras un ejército de hombres y máquinas penetran en el desierto en busca de ellos.
