Fatboy Slim (yapa: Chemical Brothers)

Fatboy Slim, también conocido como Norman Cook (aunque su nombre real es Quentin Leo Cook), nació en Bromley, Inglaterra, el 13 de julio de 1963, aunque se crió en Reigate. Fue al Reigate Grammar School y a la universidad de Brighton (Inglaterra), y es allí donde comenzó a trabajar como DJ. Su estilo es conocido como big beat, una combinación de hip hop, breakbeat, rock y rhythm and blues. Dejó de usar 'Quentin' y empezó a llamarse 'Norman' mucho antes de adoptar su otro pseudónimo.

La carrera musical de Norman comenzó en un grupo de rock llamado The Housemartins, posteriormente en 1992 trabajó para un grupo musical de Brighton conocido como Freak Power, en el que publicaron 2 discos y trabajaron para un anuncio de pantalones de levis, muy conocido.

En 1996 Norman Cook que adoptó el nombre de Fatboy Slim, dio el salto internacional a las cabinas de DJ mediante el productor Simon Thorton y el sello al cual aun sigue vinculado, Skint Records, consiguiendo así que sus creaciones le convirtieran en uno de los grandes del género Big Beat.
