Laura Benitez, compositora, cantante y fundadora de Laura Benitez y The Heartache, ha dejado su huella en el escenario y la pantalla desde el año 2000. Pasó varios años apareciendo en telenovelas y comerciales en Los Ángeles antes de mudarse al Área de la Bahía de San Francisco en 2004, sumergiéndose en las ricas escenas de música Americana y Roots de la región.
