Throttled es una especie de válvula reguladora que te permitirá controlar los flujos de subida y bajada de tu conexión Internet, estimulando de esta forma tu velocidad de descarga y manteniéndola muy alta en todo momento.
Significa que podrás mantener tu velocidad de descarga homogénea y estable, incluso cuando tu Mac estará enviando grandes cantidades de datos, y todo eso gracias al uso de una serie de tapones que te permitirán limitar el flujo de datos en salida.
Es altamente configurable y funciona a través de un cómodo sistema que te permitirán atribuir una serie de prioridades a los paquetes de datos tanto en salida como en entrada, completando el comando ipfw integrado en tu Mac OS X.
Muy útil si dispones de una conexión ADSL o el cable, y especialmente interesante si deseas montar un servidor Web, FTP, etc. Throttled te enseñará como dividir tu ancho de banda a fin de optimizar el carril de descargas.
